The Relais is situated a few km from the city of Castiglion Fiorentino, which can be reached from the main road that links Cortona to Arezzo, in the direction of the Chio Valley.
BY TRAIN
The most important train station is Florence, Santa Maria Novella, which can also be reached by plane (Florence Airport). Regional trains leave Florence for Castiglion Fiorentino approximately every hour. Take a taxi from Castiglion Fiorentino train station to Relais San Pietro in Polvano (the average fare is approximately 15 Euros). The taxi journey lasts approximately ten minutes.
BY CAR
Take the A1 motorway that connects Rome and Milan. Leave the motorway at the Monte San Savino exit (approximately 80 km south of Florence) and follow the signs for Castiglion Fiorentino. Once you get to Castiglion Fiorentino continue in the direction of Cortona-Perugia. Once you reach the third set of traffic lights, turn left following signs for Polvano. Follow the road that runs through the Chio Valley, and after about 7 km turn left for Relais San Pietro. |
